About the BAUMA bauma features more than a half million square meters (5,382,131 sq ft) of exhibition space, making it by far the largest and certainly the most impressive exhibition ever. No other industry event features a wider range of products and services. No other exhibition is more international. More space bauma grew by another 40,000 m² (430,570 sq ft) in 2007 – an increase of 8%. Because interest among exhibitors and visitors was so high, the mining sector is now completely integrated into bauma. More exhibitors 3,002 exhibitors from 49 countries made bauma 2007 a major event for the construction industry. There was a 7% increase in the number of exhibitors overall, and the share of international exhibitors increased by a remarkable 12% to 55%. That clearly underscores bauma’s outstanding international significance and reflects the ongoing boom in construction in many regions of the world. More visitors Given this backdrop, it is not surprising that there was also a considerable increase in the number of visitors – up 20% to more than a half million decision-makers and other interested visitors from 191 countries. The number of international visitors increased by 35% to more than 155,000. With growth rates of more than 100%, Turkey, India, Poland, Russia and the United States saw the largest increases in the number of visitors.
